Supervision & Consultation
I am happy to offer supervision for counsellors, and trainee counsellors.
I do offer a sliding scale of charges and would be pleased to discuss this with you further.
I also offer consultation for others where it might be useful.
Supervision
Offers therapists/consultants a space in which to engage in a co-exploration of ideas, opening up and discovering more about their ways of working and the issues and the people they are seeking supervision for.
Bringing an overview and perhaps a super - visionary perspective.
Supervision enhances our ongoing practice and professional development, this in turn, promotes the safe well-being of those who come to us for consultation and therapy.
We join in a co-elaboration of our working practice and consider areas like-:
- Setting the context for openness in which processes in supervision and the supervisory relationship are matters for discussion and negociation.
- To set the context in which different ideas maybe acknowledged and valued, choices maybe made and shared responsibility for learning implied.
- To create conditions that enhances learning.
- To establish a framework of attention paid to both process and content in supervision which might relate reflexively with the process and context of therapy.
- Explore ethical issues as outlined in the ethical framework appropriate to practice. BACP, UKCP, BPS, CPC.
- Ongoing review and consideration of continual professional development.
- Moving in and between the different domains of explanation, production and aesthetics.
- Being playfully creative and bringing wonder and awe into this enriching process.
